Substitute License Reimbursement
Our partner, TEACH Colorado, is a program that provides free support to anyone who’s thinking about becoming a teacher. When you sign up, you get perks like 1-on-1 coaching, up to $100 back in fee reimbursements towards expenses related to applying to our apprenticeship program (including your substitute application!), and a chance to win a regional $1,000 scholarship!
To capitalize on the application fee reimbursement for your substitute application, you just have to create a TEACH Colorado account here before you submit your substitute application and your application to UCCS' extended campus. Once you have subscribed to TEACH Colorado and submitted your application, you can submit your application fee reimbursement here and apply for the TEACH Colorado scholarship here! When requesting your fee reimbursement, please make sure to provide proof of both your application to UCCS' extended campus and the costs associated with submitting your substitute application, and let Annette know if you have any questions.

Kathleen Jasper helps prospective teachers and school leaders pass their certification exams and get the positions they want in education. She has helped over 80,000 educators during their certification journeys. She owns her own education company, Kathleen Jasper LLC. She writes study guides, conducts online courses, creates content, and more to help you pass your exams and land your desired position.
Starting in August 2023, students who enroll in one of the educator training programs will have their tuition, fees, course materials, and other costs covered while funding is available. Click here to see what colleges are offering these programs.
The Colorado Center for Rural Education provides a variety of stipends to student teachers and in-service educators working in rural Colorado.

The UNC Center for Urban Education provides the Denver metro area with access to UNC's renowned teacher and childhood education programs. The Center for Urban Education (CUE) serves students of all ages and ethnicities in the Denver area interested in becoming either an early childhood, elementary, or special educator.
The Educator Recruitment and Retention (ERR) program was created by SB21-185 to provide qualified program applicants with up to $10,000 in one-time financial assistance toward their educator preparation program costs. Recipients must commit to teaching in a shortage area for three years in a Colorado public school. Applicants can meet eligibility criteria for the program by first being enrolled in a Colorado-approved traditional or alternative educator preparation program (EPP) (or institute of higher education for applicants pursuing a CTE credential) and meeting one of the criteria below:
